Five months of culinary school. No cream sauces. Just a bit of butter here and there. Organic food. Local, seasonal fare. And lessons on the nutrition behind our ingredients. In August 2009 I became a certified "Natural Chef," thanks to a tiny (there are 11 other students in my class) but oh so impressive program at Bauman College in Berkeley, California. This blog follows my adventures, both in school and life, as I blossom from avid foodie to trained chef.
