Three Twins Organic Ice Cream sells certified organic (and delicious) ice cream in Bay Area stores, as well as wholesale to restaurants and markets. I met founder Neal Gottlieb this weekend. It's a busy time as he opens his third ice cream shop (the only organic shop one in San Francisco). When I mentioned my blog poll on how Shannon should use her cauliflower, Neal offered to have my next poll help select a new ice cream flavor. But first we need flavor ideas! Please send in your ideas. The main criteria is that it has to be something which can be organic, and be different than flavors already being sold.
Three Twins Organic Ice Cream Flavors:
Madagascar Vanilla, Bittersweet Chocolate, Milk Coffee, Strawberry Fields, Vanilla Chocolate Chip, Milk & Cookies, Mint Confetti, Cookie Jar, Strawberry Je Ne Sais Quio, PBC3, The Chocolate Project and Mocha Difference
If you have an ice cream flavor to suggest, please add it in the comments section below. We'll select from those submitted for the new poll. If voters agree, you may get to sample your flavor at the new store, which will be at 254 Fillmore St. (at Haight).

Hi Shoshana,
ReplyDeleteFirst I would like to thank you for your blog. I'm enjoying the pics of your classes and reading the delicious sounding recipes. Also, I just love Commuting with Cauliflower.
As a big fan of Peach Crumble, I have an idea for Neal's ice cream flavor. How about peaches with bits of nuts, oatmeal and brown sugar.
Just a thought.
Thank you,
Stacy (aka Shannon's mom)
Hi Shannon,
ReplyDeleteI followed the link from the Bauman Forum. Your photos are beautiful and I thank you for sharing your blog.
Ice cream flavor idea: Coconut with chocolate and almonds. It could be called Coconut Cocoa Loco.
See you on the forum,
Jodi Friedlander
A coworker's suggestion: honey cardamom.
ReplyDeleteMy step-sister's lovely idea: circus peanut!
ReplyDeletePassion fruit with coconut and mac nuts.
ReplyDeleteKey Lime rum raisin
Pistachio made with organic pistachios, but not tinted green. I could be Green, but not Green, Pistachio.
ReplyDeleteHow about "Icy Hot Chocolate" with high grade chocolate and cayenne. Or "Happy Hour" with bourbon and peanuts. Or "Sweet Potato Pie" with sweet potato and marshmellow. Or "Spanish Special" with bits of churros and rich chocolate. Or "Swiss Fondue" with Gruyere and bits of garlic croutons. OK, that one is pretty weird. But interesting...
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of sbdowling's "spanish special," but "happy hour" sounds a bit too similar to humphry slocombe's "secret breakfast" AKA bourbon and corn flakes. either way, looking forward to another gourmet ice cream shop in the neighborhood!
ReplyDeletecandied ginger with pear and apple
ReplyDeleteHow about CHERISHED CHERRY, Mango Tango, Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, Lemon or Lime Zest, Tangy Tangerine, or BANANA SPLIT SPECIAL?
ReplyDeleteHazelGoNuts (or Choco Hazelnutty)
ReplyDeleteBlack & White Cookie
Pancake Breakfast (maple syrup, bacon bits)
Banana Cream Pie
Strawberry Bananza
Lemon Meringue Pie
Bugs Bunny (carrot cake)
I'm hoping for a ginger-infused base with caramelized pears, roasted & salted macademia nuts, and a ginger-cinnamon swirl. But I'll pretty much eat any Three Twins ice cream you put in front of me ;)
